A solemn festive event dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 105th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus was held on February 23 at Brest State Technical University.
Veterans of the Armed Forces, employees and students gathered in the assembly hall headed by the university administration. In a solemn atmosphere, the awarding of the personnel of the reserve-officer training department of BrSTU took place. For diligence and distinction in service, progress achieved in official activities, Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich awarded University Diplomas to Lieutenant Colonel Nikutin Nikolai Viktorovich and Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Alexandrovich Tokar; Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Vladimirovich Gavrilin and Oleg Vladimirovich Mironovich were officially thanked by the Rector of the University.
Vice-rector for educational work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya congratulated all those present on the holiday of courage, fortitude and military prowess. Creative on-stage performance groups of BrSTU presented a concert program «All Honor to the Defenders of the Fatherland!». A special festive atmosphere of the event was created by the orchestra of the 38th Separate Guards Airborne Assault Vienna Red Banner Brigade and their solo singer Elena Nadolskaya.
