Scientific research laboratory «Digital Engineering of the Agro-Industrial Complex» was opened

March 2 the scientific research laboratory «Digital Engineering of the Agro-Industrial Complex» at Brest State Technical University with the support of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, JSC «Technologies of Agriculture» and the group of companies «Santa» JSC «Savushkin Product» was created and opened. The laboratory with a modern complex of scientific practically-oriented equipment became part of the multidisciplinary cluster of BrSTU.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of state authorities of the regional and republican governments, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus, engaged committees, financial sector, research organizations and enterprises.
The Rector of BrSTU Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich is confident that the laboratory will become the new platform for the development of cutting-edge technologies and their introduction into the real sector of economy. “Today, what is being developed and scaled up is what got a good start earlier at our university, which was done for scientific research, for systematic, large-scale, high-quality, effective personnel training for advanced industries and the development of «Industry 4.0».
First Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Valentin Mikhailovich Zaichuk noted that today, the development of the agro-industrial sector is impossible without close cooperation with science: “In order to achieve better results, reach self-sufficiency, it is necessary to implement digitalization and automation in production process.”
The main purpose of the laboratory «Digital Engineering of the Agro-Industrial Complex» is the training of engineering personnel and the development of scientific and technical innovative products in the agricultural sector of economy.
