On March 24, in Brest, an exhibition of scientific and technological solutions “Intellectual Belarus. Regions» was officially opened. The leaders of the region and districts, representatives of diplomatic missions, enterprises and organizations of the region came to get acquainted with the latest and most interesting achievements, hundreds of city residents gathered.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by employees and students of Brest State Technical University, headed by Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich. 12 exhibits in the areas of innovative technologies in construction, mechanical engineering, IT and heat engineering are presented at the demonstration site of BrSTU. As always, the «headliner» is the guide robot «Mirosha». An equally well-known mobile robotic arm demonstrates the process of automating testing of the first Belarusian laptop. Genuine interest of visitors concerns developments in the field of construction: composite concrete compositions with dispersed reinforcement, the key element of the metal structural formation «System BrSTU», a block of effective void formers for monolithic reinforced concrete floors. And special attention is drawn to decorative products made of concrete, namely the Luna lamp. Engineering developments are represented by samples of machine parts which were built with the use of special methods of surface hardening, that improves their performance. Peat fuel cells presented to the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Yuri Vitoldovich Shuleiko as a new highly efficient type of fuel for modern heating systems should be singled out separately.
Young scientists of BrSTU, who participated in the finals of the contest «100 Ideas for Belarus», present modernization technologies for the individual heating devices to the exhibition visitors. Separately, it is necessary to highlight the joint scientific developments in the field of medicine with the Brest Clinical Regional Hospital — a force platform and a spirotester.
The first day of the exhibition was highly interesting both for representatives of enterprises, and for city residents and engaged young people.
The exhibition «Intellectual Belarus» in Brest will continue its work until March 26 from 10.00 to 19.00.
