Sounds of «Palesye Plunk» — a folk art festival at BrSTU

On the basis of the educational institution «Brest State Technical University» the 3rd Open Folk Art Festival «Palesye Plunk» dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation took place. Groups and performers from educational institutions of the city of Brest and the Brest region came to the festival: Center for Further Education of Children and Youth in Vysokaye, Gymnasium in Ivanovo, Secondary School No. 2 in Ivanovo, Khatynichy Secondary School, Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin, Palesye State University, Brest State Regional Center of Youth Creativity.
The folk art festival began with an exhibition of decorative and applied art products of the festival participants, at which a master class of decorative and applied art masters was held. Then, a local dance culture master class was held for the participants of the festival.
At the grand opening of the festival, the rector of the university, Siarhei Antonovich Kaspiarovich, addressed the participants with a congratulatory speech and wished them creative achievements, friendship and a festive mood. The chairman of the festival organizing committee, vice-rector for educational work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya greeted everyone with warm wishes and inspiration for competition performances.
In four creative nominations, the folklore theatre «Treasury» of BrSTU and individual performers of the theatre Zakhar Novik, Ilya Karpovich, Kiril Golovach appeared on the stage. The participants became winners, receiving first-degree diplomas, as well as the «Treasury» theatre, that received three first-degree diplomas. The rest of the individual performers received three second degree diplomas. In various nominations, other performers and teams were also awarded first, second, third degree diplomas and sweet presents. The 3rd folk art festival «Palesye Plunk» was closed with the group small polka dancing and a group photo.
