Students and employees of the Brest State Technical University, headed by Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Yalova Natalya Petrovna, took part in the festive ceremony dedicated to the Day of the State Flag, the State Emblem and the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus, which took place on the main square of Brest.
To the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus, the honorary right to raise the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus was given to Ilya Chernooky, a student of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Systems of BrSTU, and Anna Moiseichik, a student of the Philological Faculty of BrSU named after A. S. Pushkin, laureates of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted students .
The ceremony ended with a solemn procession, which was opened by the soldiers of the Brest garrison. They were followed by representatives of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Brest Region, the Department of Internal Affairs of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, and the Brest Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management. The youth column includes the best representatives of the consolidated honorary watch of the Brest Hero Fortress Memory Post, fighters of student groups of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, students of the Brest State Technical University and Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, as well as students of educational and cultural institutions of the city, who spoke at the celebration.
