From June 26 to June 28, 2023, the X Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus is being held in the capital of Bashkortostan, the city of Ufa, organized by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia. Brest State Technical University is represented at the anniversary Forum by Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich.
Traditionally, the forum is a meeting place for representatives of state administration bodies, business circles, specialists in the field of education and science of the two countries. The event provides a unique opportunity to establish partnerships, search for new contacts and discuss the prospects for diversified cooperation. This year, the forum served as a platform where Brest State Technical University signed documents on cooperation with two leading universities of the Russian Federation.
BrSTU signed a cooperation agreement with the Ufa University of Science and Technology. Today, the partner university is the leading university in the Republic of Bashkortostan. It was created last year during the merger of the classical Bashkir State University and the Ufa State Aviation Technical University. Mutually beneficial cooperation between us is possible in such areas as industrial electronics, computer science, robotics, mechanical engineering, automation, materials science. Universities can also pool resources in training specialists in economics.
Another new partner of BrSTU is the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, an acknowledged leader in the training of highly qualified engineering personnel in the field of civil engineering and architecture, operation of engineering systems, and power engineering.
A hallmark event for the Brest State Technical University was also the signing of an agreement on the accession of BrSTU to the Consortium «Russian-Belarusian University Union» TOGETHER «. The coordinator of the interuniversity association is the Pskov State University. The aims of the consortium are the development of network educational products and digital services, the development of synchronized scientific policies, the creation of favorable conditions and infrastructure to support communications between research teams of universities in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
