Along with the educational process at the Brest State Technical University, students are actively involved in the students` brigade movement. 423 people in 29 student teams have already worked in the summer months, and 5 teams with 85 people are currently working. Three construction teams are working at the facilities of Savushkin Product JSC in the city of Beryoza and the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, and two agricultural teams are assisting in harvesting the agricultural enterprises of Ostromechevo JSC and Chernavchitsy JSC.
From October 4, 2023, the BrSTU students` production team, formed from 11 students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, will go to Minsk Automobile Plant OJSC. The young people will work in the plant workshops for a month along with experienced construction metal workers.
The construction students` team «Spadchyna» named after Hero of the Soviet Union P.M. Masherov was given a special honor. In the near future, the members of the team, who took part in the restoration of the objects of the Khatyn memorial complex, will begin work on the construction of the educational and recreational institution “Republican Center for Patriotic Education of Youth” on the basis of the Kobrin fortification of the Brest Fortress. By decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko on August 9, 2023, this facility was given the status of an All-Belarusian youth construction site.
In total, it is planned to employ about 90 more people as part of students` teams by the end of the calendar year.
