From October 9 to October 16, 2023, the BrSTU Rector’s Cup volleyball tournament among men’s teams, dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, was held at the sports base of Brest State Technical University. The university’s volleyball court brought together teams from the Civil Engineering Faculty, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology, the Faculty of Electronics and Information Systems and the BrSTU branch «Polytechnic College» in tournament meetings. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Mikhail Vladimirovich Neroda thanked the students for their active participation and personally congratulated the winners, presenting them awards, noting the bright leadership qualities and cohesion of the players, team spirit, will to win and fighting mood.
As a result of the tournament, the team of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering became the winner of the BrSTU Rector’s Cup. The team of the BrSTU branch “Polytechnic College” took second place. The team of the Civil Engineering Faculty took the third place on the podium.
At the closing of the tournament, the teams that took prizes in the all-year-round sports competitions of BrSTU for the 2022/2023 academic year were also awarded.
57th all-year-round student sports competition: I place among students was won by the team of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Systems, II place was taken by the team of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology, III place by the team of the Faculty of Economics.
54th all-year-round sports competition “Vigor and Health”: 1st place was given to the team of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Systems, 2nd place was given to the team of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, 3rd place was given to the team of the Civil Engineering Faculty.
