32 volunteers from among students of Brest State Technical University took part as volunteers at the II Games of the CIS countries, which took place in our country from August 4 to 14, 2023.
Brest hosted handball and swimming competitions. Our volunteers worked in the competition areas, in the stands, in the press center, food and doping control points, and accompanied the athletes as they moved around the city.
The activities of the young people were highly appreciated, and each volunteer received gratitude from the Minister of Education Andrei Ivanovich Ivanets for his assistance in organizing and conducting the 2nd CIS Games.
In a solemn ceremony, Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya, Vice-Rector for Educational Work, presented gratitude to the students of BrSTU.
Natalya Petrovna, on behalf of the Rector of the university Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, expressed gratitude to the students for their initiative and responsible, caring attitude to work, demonstrated dedication, ability to work in a team, desire to be useful to society and people, desire to create, and active citizenship. The volunteer movement once again confirms that combining the efforts of volunteers makes it possible to effectively solve socially significant problems. The students, in turn, prepared a film about their participation in a vibrant sports festival, which will remain in their memory for a long time.
