On October 24, 2023, as part of the event program of the Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week, students of the Faculty of Economics of Brest State Technical University discussed with representatives of JSC «Joint Stock Savings Bank Belarusbank» the formation of an entrepreneurial culture, the creation of a favorable business environment in the context of economic security.
Today, the infrastructure of the regional network of JSC «Joint Stock Savings Bank Belarusbank», including branches, ATMs, information kiosks and remote banking service channels, shapes the scale of the business and the presence of the bank in all regions of the country.
The event “Financial puzzles: cybersecurity” was attended by students, young scientists and teachers of the Faculty of Economics of BrSTU. The event was hosted by V.V. Zazerskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of BrSTU, V.A. Tishuk, Head of the Sales Department of JSC » Joint Stock Savings Bank Belarusbank » for retail products and services, and A.P. Rabchuk, Chief Specialist of the Economic Security Sector. Using practical examples, issues of safe financial behavior in social networks, methods of protection against financial and cyber fraud, the safe use of Internet services when carrying out payment procedures and during interaction with unfamiliar accounts, and cybersecurity rules when conducting financial transactions were reviewed and discussed.
On the eve of World Savings Day, the meeting raised the issue of the institution of savings and retail banking, with special attention paid to the stabilizing role played by savings and retail banking in the overall financial system and ensuring the security of the economy.
A meaningful discussion showed a keen interest in people’s digital financial literacy to counter risks and ensure personal and corporate financial security, and the role of savings in the economy.
