On November 13, an educational excursion “Shopping in a shopping center” was conducted in a group of Chinese students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of BrSTU. During the excursion lesson, which took place in a large shopping center of the city, foreign students studied and consolidated vocabulary that was new to them, and enjoyed communicating with salesmen and consultants, using structures and elements of speech etiquette previously studied in the classroom. The students showed particular interest in Belarusian products, the diversity of which was difficult for them to understand on their own. For teachers of the Department of Linguistic Disciplines and Intercultural Communications of BrSTU, conducting excursion lessons is a longstanding practice that allows not only to stimulate interest in learning language and culture, but also helps students quickly adapt to a new cultural and linguistic environment.
