Round table on the dangers of smoking “Don’t burn your daylight”

A round table was held at the Brest State Technical University dedicated to International No Smoking Day. The event was attended by a psychotherapist at the Brest Regional Narcological Dispensary, Vladislav Igorevich Pretskailo, and Tatyana Vladimirovna Komarchuk, Head of the Public Relations Sector of the Brest Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergencies.
The purpose of the event was to inform about the negative effects and negative consequences of tobacco abuse, the cigarettes composition and their effect on the body, and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
During the round table, acute problems of the fight against smoking were touched upon, the impact of all types of smoking on physical and mental health was highlighted, statistics from the Ministry of Emergencies on tragedies associated with smoking were presented, and ways to combat smoking and safety precautions were discussed.
International No Smoking Day is meant to attract the attention of young people to the problems of nicotine addiction, high mortality rate due to smoking, to help them get rid of the bad habit and start leading a healthy lifestyle.
