A large-scale Russian-Belarusian forum “Bridges of Friendship” took place at Pskov State University from November 17 to 19. The platform brought together 600 participants from higher education institutions and secondary education institutions of the two countries, as well as employees of departments supervising youth policy in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
As part of the Belarusian delegation, Brest State Technical University was represented by Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya, Head of the Media Information Department Natalya Semyonovna Vinnik, students of the Faculty of Construction Daria Gurbich and Faculty of Economics Anna Telipko, student of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology Alexander Vasilevich.
“Bridges of Friendship” is one of the hallmark international youth events organized within the framework of the homonymous project, which received grant support from the Russian children and youth movement “Movement of the First”.
Within the framework of the forum, a discussion was held on the prospects for dialogue between the youth of the Union State, joint projects aimed at strengthening friendly international relations, and the best practices of network interaction between higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
The educational track of the forum included lectures, project seminars, interactive and training sessions conducted by federal-level experts, representatives of Rosmolodezh, Rossotrudnichestvo, and the Gorchakov Foundation.
During the forum, 16 projects were developed in the field of media, tourism and patriotism. Having united, the young people from the Pskov region and the Republic of Belarus developed their initiatives, formulated goals and objectives, and conducted research within the framework of local project schools. Expert mentors conducted intensive team building sessions, lectures, master classes, and helped the young people take a fresh look at the developed projects, understand what could improve their structure, content, meaning, and which partners should be contacted for collaboration.
On the final day of the forum, participants presented their projects to federal experts and received their assessment. The jury assessed each project based on 10 criteria. At the closing of the forum the results were announced:
1st place – project “TrudKrut60. Allied landing»
2nd place – project “Vuztobus”
3rd place – project “Bridge to History”
BrSTU students Anna Telipko and Daria Gurbich, teaming up with Pskov State University students, presented the project “TrudKrut. Allied landing.» Alexander Vasilevich together with the guys from PSU named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk and GSTU named after P.O. Sukhoi came up with the project “Bridge to History”.
The international forum has become a platform for challenging ideas and their implementation, productive work and its brilliant results.
