Gala concert “New Stars of BrSTU — 2023”

On December 6, 2023, a gala concert of the first-year students’ creativity review competition “New Stars of BrSTU — 2023” took place at the Brest State Technical University.
The concert program included the best numbers from the creative performances of the faculties, including bright dance numbers, strong vocal compositions, performances in original and theatergenres, journalism and artistic creativity.
The participants were welcomed by the Rector of the university, Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich. He noted the high level of performing skills of the creative teams and expressed confidence that first-year students will actively join student life and prove themselves not only in their studies, but also in various types of extracurricular activities.
“New Stars” is a kind of starting point that allows you to get to know each other better and become part of the united university team. Each performance was remembered for its uniqueness and high level of skill. Lyrical vocal compositions gave way to fiery dances, theatrical performances and instrumental numbers.
The finale of the event was the presentation of diplomas of varying degrees to the winners and participants of the competition. Based on the totality of creative performances that were noted by the jury and passed the qualifying stages, the Civil Engineering Faculty was pronounced as the winner. Second place went to the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology, and third place to the Faculty of Electronics and Information Systems.
A pleasant surprise for the students was the decision of the jury to determine another nomination — “The most cohesive group of the faculty.” These are the groups that filled almost the entire concert program of the faculty with their creative numbers, and charged the entire hall with their inexhaustible energy! As a result, the T-94 group of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the TV-21 group of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology were recognized as the most cohesive groups.
Once again, we congratulate the first-year students on joining a large and united university team and wish them success in their studies, science and sports, as well as the development of creative and organizational abilities.
