On December 14–15, at the Brest State Technical University, the Youth Council of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers held an extended on-site meeting.
The meeting participants were welcomed by the Rector of BrSTU Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich and the Chairman of the Brest regional organization of the branch trade union Ivan Ivanovich Vasilenko.
On the eve of the single voting day, a discussion platform was held within the framework of the meeting, where issues related to the electoral system, organizational features of elections, the formation of the Supreme National Assembly and electoral sovereignty were discussed.
The speakers of the event touched upon the topic of motivation for trade union membership among working and studying youth. The importance of the trade union organization in representing and protecting the interests of citizens was emphasized, the instrument of which is a collective agreement providing additional benefits and guarantees for workers and students.
During the meeting, the new composition of the Youth Council of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers was also presented, and its work plan for 2024 was approved.
