On January 18, 2024, the Brest State Technical University, together with the Department of Architecture and Territorial Development of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, organized a targeted training fair among enterprises in the construction industry – employers of personnel.
The main purpose of the meeting is to expand and increase the effectiveness of targeted training, strengthen career guidance work, and increase the motivation of young people to make a conscious choice of profession.
The presidium, headed by the Rector of BrSTU Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, included Nikolai Nikolaevich Vlasyuk, Head of the Department of Architecture and Territorial Development of the Brest Regional Executive Committee; Inessa Pavlovna Pavlova, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brest State Technical University; Irina Aleksandrovna Tretyakova, Head of the Housing Policy Department of the Committee on Architecture and Construction of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
The Rector of BrSTU Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich made a welcoming speech and report. Sergei Antonovich began his speech by explaining the concept of targeted training as a way of selecting motivated applicants when deciding on personnel training for an enterprise, which requires a certain algorithm of actions. Already during his studies, the student will have the opportunity to be involved in the work process of the enterprise he has an agreement with, have a guaranteed job upon graduation and individualization of the learning process.
The topics of the main directions of career guidance work aimed at attracting targeted applicants were also not left without attention. Attention was paid to the creation of branches of departments and specialties that will improve the quality of work and also help in targeted training.
Sergei Antonovich emphasized the importance of joint cooperation between the university and enterprises in the field of training targeted personnel, emphasizing that only through joint efforts and careful study will it be possible to find a gifted student and conduct a high-quality admissions campaign.
In the second part of the event, Inna Pavlovna spoke in detail about the organization of the educational process at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of BrSTU, specialties, advantages of training, and focused on the specializations and further employment.
