On February 13, a seminar on prevention of cybercrimes was held at the Brest State Technical University. The students were addressed by: the detective officer of the Defense Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Moskovsky District Administration of Brest, Diana Dmitrievna Ulasen, and the senior district inspector of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Moskovsky District Administration of Brest, Sergey Petrovich Duboisky.
The guests of the seminar spoke about various types of cybercrimes, the rules of safe behavior in social networks, the use of bank plastic cards, ways to protect personal and corporate information on electronic media, legal liability for cybercrimes, and gave recommendations on how to protect your data.
Sergei Petrovich explained that criminal liability for cybercrimes begins at the age of 14 under Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and at the age of 16 under Article 349. The young people had the opportunity to get answers to all their questions.
