At the Brest State Technical University, an informational meeting was held between students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Moskovsky District for Ideological Work and Personnel Support, Alexander Fedorovich Talatynnik. Currently, drug trafficking and cyber-attacks are increasingly carried out via the Internet and pose a threat to state security, human health and the environment.
During his speech, the speaker noted that the development of advanced technologies is improving and inevitably penetrates into all areas of human life, thereby attracting not only bona fide Internet users, but also tricksters.
Talatynnik A.F. spoke about possible methods of theft of money means and personal data on the Internet, types of fraud against bank card carriers and the importance of digital hygiene. Among other things, it was noted at the meeting that criminals actively use modern IT technologies and implement many methods and tools to seize other people’s money. A representative of law enforcement agencies once again reminded what to pay attention to when visiting unfamiliar sites and making online purchase.
The speaker told students about stash of drugs and the dangers of their distribution. He focused on the consequences that await the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues.
At the end of the meeting, Anatoly Fedorovich outlined the basic rules of behavior that will help each of us not become a victim of tricksters.
