On February 16, a meeting of the Republican Council of Vice-Rectors of Higher Education Institutions was held at the Brest State Technical University.
Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Council of Vice-Rectors, Vice-Rector for Educational Work of the Y. Kupala State University of Grodno Vasily Vasilyevich Senko outlined the main tasks for ideological and educational work set by the President of the Republic of Belarus at a meeting with the heads of higher education institutions on February 14.
Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Education of Belarus Tatyana Anatolyevna Simanovskaya in her speech focused on the election campaign and the role of higher educational institutions in the social and political life of the country.
The Vice-Rector for educational work of BrSTU Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya took part in the meeting and made a report “On the system of work with primary organizations of the NGO “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” in institutions of higher education.”
During the meeting, members of the Council reviewed and analyzed such topical issues as: increasing the efficiency of work with labor collectives; activities of social, pedagogical and psychological services in institutions of higher education; improving work with foreign students; planning the ideological and educational work of the teaching staff and curators of study groups.
