On March 28, the First Vice-Rector of Brest State Technical University Neroda Mikhail Vladimirovich and the Head of the Department of Applied Mechanics of BrSTU Parfievich Andrey Nikolayevich paid a working visit to «Soligorsk Institute for Resource Saving Problems with Pilot Production CJSC » and «MAZ-Kupava Automobile Trailers and Bodies Plant LLC».
During the visit to «Soligorsk Institute for Resource Saving Problems with Pilot Production CJSC «, a meeting was held with Technical Director Viktor Yakovlevich Prushak, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science and technology, as well as with the Deputy Head of Human Resources Department Evgeny Nikolaevich Mashchik.
The Institute is a large research and production enterprise in the field of development and production of material mining machinery, mining and chemical equipment, lifting and transporting equipment , earthmoving machinery, drilling and special equipment, storage and handling complexes, as well as resource-saving systems for the development of potash deposits and geological exploration.
Viktor Yakovlevich described the enterprise he headed, outlined possible areas of interaction between CJSC and BrSTU in the field of training highly qualified personnel to solve production problems and expanding the practical component of the educational process, and also touched upon the topic of innovation in the production of complex mining equipment in the framework of joint dissertation scientific research conducted by the specialists of BrSTU and the institute. Viktor Yakovlevich proposed to go into the issue of training engineering personnel for mining and environmental engineering on the basis of BrSTU. During the visit, representatives of BrSTU found out more about the particularities of production and the specialized equipment used, visited certified destructive testing laboratories, a diagnostic laboratory, a chemical analysis laboratory, an acoustic laboratory, an additive technology room, the development and equipment of which the company pays close attention to.
As part of the visit to «MAZ-Kupava Automobile Trailers and Bodies Plant LLC «, meetings were held with General Director Vitaly Nikolayevich Yakubov and Deputy General Director Vladimir Valeryevich Ananiev.

Vitaly Nikolayevich introduced the guests to the production, material and technical base of the company and promising development areas in the production of vehicles, refrigerators and vans for consumers not only from the Republic of Belarus, but also abroad. The issues of improving the instruction of engineering personnel for the needs of enterprises and expanding the practical component of the educational process were also discussed.
