Students and employees of the Brest State Technical University, headed by Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, took part in the festive events dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Hundreds of students and teachers greeted the participants of the Victory Parade on Lenin Street, marched in a festive column and took part in a solemn rally on Ceremonial Square in the Brest Fortress.
The mourning rally, according to tradition, began with the flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame and with laying wreaths at the memorial stones. The participants of the event honored the memory of the defenders of the Motherland who gave their lives for the freedom and independence with a minute’s silence.
With photographs of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, BrSTU employees joined the patriotic action “Belarus Remembers. We Remember Everyone.»
