The II Games of the CIS countries, which are held in Belarus from August 4 to 14, 2023, are attended by 34 volunteers from among the students of the Brest State Technical University.
The Vice-Rector for educational work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya and the Deans of the faculties met with the students on the eve of the big sports festival.
All volunteers received intensive theoretical and practical training. A uniform has been developed for them, and they came to the meeting so bright — in orange and cornflower blue colors. In a relaxed atmosphere, the guys shared with the university administration their impressions of the preparatory stage and the reasons why they volunteered. Firstly, this is a unique opportunity to prove yourself, develop your communication skills and leadership qualities. Secondly, this is a chance to see with your own eyes how the competitions are organized from the inside.
Brest will host handball and swimming competitions. Our volunteers will work in the competition areas, in the stands, in the press center, feeding and doping control stations. It is worth noting that the guys were very enthusiastic about the opportunity to work as volunteers and feel confident after the training. Some of the volunteers are already welcoming guests and successfully putting into practice the acquired knowledge.
