A cooperation agreement was signed with a Cuban university

As part of the visit of a delegation of higher education institutions of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus, headed by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education of the Republic of Cuba, Reynaldo Velázquez Zaldívar, on September 19, 2023, an agreement on cooperation in the field of education, science and culture was concluded between BrSTU and the University of Moa. The document was signed by the Rector of our university, Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich and the Rector of the Cuban partner university, Yurisley Valdés Mariño.
Moa University was founded in 1976 and has the status of a non-profit public higher education institution. The university includes the faculties of geology and mining, metallurgy, electromechanics, and the school of economics. Today, university students are offered undergraduate and master programs in such areas as economics, finance, pedagogics, computer science, electronics, and geology. The university is named after the famous Cuban scientist, geologist Dr. Antonio Núñez Jiménez.
