Prevention of traffic accidents

At the Brest State Technical University at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, a preventive meeting was held between students of the Civil Engineering Faculty and  the police lieutenant colonel, Senior Inspector for Special Assignments of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Konstantinovich Avramchuk, the Inspector of the Campaign and Propaganda Group of the State Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Androsyuk Alina Valentinovna, and the Senior Inspector of the personnel group traffic police battalion of the traffic police of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Marzan Igor Aleksandrovich. The guests discussed such a pressing topic as “Prevention of road traffic injuries” with the students. They said that the most common cause of death and injury to road users (inexperienced drivers, pedestrians and passengers) is their violation of traffic rules, which primarily include: driving while intoxicated; drivers exceeding the established speed, failure to comply with the rules for using seat belts; pedestrians not marking themselves in the dark with reflective elements. The speakers also drew the student’s attention to the fact that there have been changes in the rules of the road for cyclists.
During the meeting, the young people were able to ask questions that interested them and analyze all the consequences of non-compliance with traffic rules.
