On November 14, students of the Civil Engineering Faculty and the Faculty of Economics of Brest State Technical University visited the Investigation Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Brest region.
As part of the event, a meeting was held with the Head of the Department of the Investigation Committee for the Brest Region, Major General of Justice Dmitry Vladimirovich Konoplyanik, who spoke about the main directions of the work of this organization, focused young people`s attention an observing law and order, and emphasized the importance of respecting the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus, preventing activities of an extremist nature.
Employees of the Investigation Committee introduced the students to their work, demonstrating some aspects, namely the functions of the Forensic Department, presenting a mobile forensic laboratory — a car equipped with everything necessary to work at the scene of an incident; the students were also shown special technical means used by forensic scientists. The students were given a tour of the territory of the Investigation Committee, they visited the museum room where exhibits from the times of the Russian Empire are housed. The young people showed genuine interest in this event and asked questions, to which they received competent answers.
