On December 14, 2023, on the stage of the Minsk City Palace of Culture, under the slogan “The Way to Transformation”, which is based on the disclosure of internal potential and the process of personal formation of each finalist with the participation of active youth, the grand final of the republic-wide competition “Student of the Year — 2023” was held. Brest State Technical University was represented by Veronica Sergel, a student of the Faculty of Economics.
The competition is aimed at developing leadership qualities, supporting the creative potential of student youth, creating conditions for their self-realization in the field of social activities, science, art and sports, promoting student initiatives and projects, increasing the prestige of knowledge and popularizing professions. In the finals of the competition, 18 best students from all regions of the republic and Minsk fought for the place of leader in creative and intellectual tests. Competitive tests with the participation of finalists took place over two days – December 13–14.
The test of the first day was a public speaking competition, where participants talked about their life path, goals, dreams and desires. The second, main day — the day of the final show — revealed the talents of the young people through the “Business Card Competition”, which embodies their individuality and willingness to express themselves, as well as the “Creative Competition”, in which the finalists transformed their internal changes into works of art that touch on the depths of cultural transformation.
