On January 4, 2024, at the Brest State Technical University, a meeting was held between the Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich and the students participating in the New Year’s ball. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya.
At the regional celebration in the Kossovo Palace, BrSTU was represented by Ivan Gaiko (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), Diana Melnikova (Faculty of Economics), Olga Botova (Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology), Vladislav Tomashov (Faculty of Electronics and Information systems).
In a cozy and friendly atmosphere, the young people shared their vivid impressions, expressed gratitude for the experience gained and for the opportunity to become guests of the festive ball.
Diana Melnikova: “Attending a ball at Kossovo Castle is a unique opportunity! I am incredibly grateful to the faculty and the university for being able to become part of such an incredible event. The memories are unforgettable and will definitely last a lifetime. Since childhood, you dream of becoming a princess, putting on a beautiful dress and visiting a castle. It’s amazing that you can make this dream come true even in your student years. Incredible atmosphere: everyone in beautiful outfits is spinning in a waltz. A large hall, a beautiful Christmas tree and gifts that will remind us of this day for a long time.”
On this occasion, the students discussed with the university leadership various issues related to the organization of study and leisure time for students, expressed their wishes for improving infrastructure and living conditions.
At the end of the meeting, Sergei Antonovich presented the participants with certificates of acknowledgement from BrSTU and memorable New Year gifts.
