Teachers of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation of the Brest State Technical University with 1st, 3rd and 4th year students of the specialty “Heat and Gas Supply, Ventilation and Air Protection” took part in the Welcome Day “Kaleidoscope of Achievements”, organized by the unitary enterprise “Brestoblgaz” on the basis of the Nadzeya sanatorium. Students and parents of the engineering class of secondary school No. 20 in Brest, students of secondary schools No. 7 in Kobrin and No. 28 in Brest were invited to the celebration.
“We can say with confidence that professions related to the gas industry are advantageous,” noted Evgeniy Aleksandrovich Kazimirchik, General Director of the unitary enterprise “Brestoblgaz”, at the grand opening of the event. – Gas is one of the most important sources of energy, and our company has serious capabilities. We are trying to build a personnel training system so that even schoolchildren are familiar with the work of gas workers. So that they know that in our field there are many interesting professions that allow you to develop both as an individual and as a specialist.
To introduce schoolchildren to the work of the gas service, employees of the Brestgaz Unitary Enterprise organized a demonstration of the actions of their specialists in an emergency situation. After receiving a conditional message about a gas leak, an emergency service vehicle arrived at the site, whose employees quickly fixed the problem. Then, pupils and students with great interest got acquainted with a large-scale exhibition of machinery and equipment that gas workers work with — from measuring instruments to specially equipped vehicles. It is pleasant to note that most of the specialists who presented the operation of the equipment are graduates of the specialty “Heat and Gas Supply, Ventilation and Air Protection” of BrSTU.
