On May 16, 2023, the Chinese Bridge Program, organized by Hohhot University to promote Chinese culture, history and science, was opened via videoconference. The Rector of Hohhot University Zhang Yuzhu delivered a welcoming speech and highly appreciated the cooperation with the Brest State Technical University. In response, the Rector of BrSTU Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich expressed confidence that participation in this program would give impetus to further expansion of partnerships and open up new opportunities for our universities.
Since 2007, Brest State Technical University has been cooperating with the Hohhot Professional Institute, which is a subdivision of the Hohhot University. The cooperation of our educational institutions is based on the “3 + 3” model, which makes it possible for graduates of the Hohhot Professional Institute to receive a higher national diploma of the Republic of Belarus. BrSTU lecturers are sent annually to the Hohhot Professional Institute to teach the Russian language and technical disciplines to Chinese students who intend to continue their studies in Brest.
China has achieved great success in modern technology, while maintaining its unique culture. Within the framework of the Chinese Bridge Program, students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of BrSTU will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the basics of the Chinese language, the history of the country, folklore, tea ceremony, as well as the folk traditions of the Inner Mongolia Province. Separately will be presented a training course dedicated to the latest achievements of the Chinese automotive industry.
