As part of the Year of the Regions of Belarus and China, a delegation from Liaoning Province headed by Vice Governor Jin Guowei arrived in the Brest region on July 14, 2023. The main event of the visit was the Brest-Liaoning cultural and business forum, during which an agreement on cooperation was signed between Brest State Technical University and Liaoning University. The document was signed by the Rector of BrSTU Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich and the Rector of the Chinese partner university Yu Miaojie who was present via videoconference.
Liaoning University is one of the leading universities in the People’s Republic of China. Two campuses of the university are located in Shenyang city, the third campus is located in Liaoyang city. The university was founded in 1948. Today it has 27 faculties and 62 research institutes. More than 26,000 students are currently studying at Liaoning University.
Cooperation between BrSTU and Liaoning University will increase the potential of the two universities in the field of education and science, and will become the basis for the implementation of joint educational programs.
