On the eve of World Standardization Day, students of the Brest State Technical University with the major in “Machines and Apparatus for Food Production” took a tour of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Brest Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification.”
Deputy Director for Metrology Leonid Aleksandrovich Rukovichnikov conducted an excursion, where he told students about the importance and need for standardization, gave examples of standards for wires, communication protocols, food products, packaging, etc.
Students visited the laboratories of the departments for verification of measuring instruments of geometric, thermal engineering, physical-chemical and mechanical quantities, equipped with modern high-precision measuring equipment, and were shown the processes of verification for working measuring instruments.
During the visit to the enterprise, future specialists received a lot of useful information for professional growth and improvement of competence.
