On December 22, 2023, the results of the XVII International Student Scientific Forum “Student Scientific Winter in Brest–2023” were summed up.
The event brought together more than 100 students and 16 universities from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan and China.
An innovation this year was the work of the “Customs Affairs” section, within which reports were presented by teams from Brest State Technical University, BSU and Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala.
The test of the practical skills of students was the Olympiad in accounting “The Unlimitedness of Accounting Thought – 2023” from representatives of the auditing company B1 Belarus. Confirmation of the wide geography of the forum was the online participation of students of economic specialties from the Hohhot Vocational Institute, China. 2 reports of foreign students were awarded II degree diplomas.
The participants were interested in the competition of ideas and proposals “What can I do for the sustainable development of the region.” The students shared non-standard ideas and options for their implementation — from the project of growing a hazelnut garden from the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy team to the project “Support for the development of small youth entrepreneurship” of the Tashkent Financial Institute and the project to create a mobile application “Fincoin” to improve the financial literacy of children and adolescents from the Vitebsk University team.
