On February 1, 2024, a meeting of the university employees and students with the Chairman of the Brest City Executive Committee Sergei Nikolaevich Lobodinsky took place at the Brest State Technical University.
During his speech, Sergei Nikolaevich presented the city’s potential in all areas. The head of the city spoke about the results achieved to date and the planned development prospects for the near future. They talked about the development of the infrastructure of Brest and the Brest region, improvement, road repairs, employment opportunities for young people and the standard of living of citizens.
The head of the city told the event participants about key projects for creating a modern urban environment, plans for the social and economic development of Brest and mechanisms for solving significant problems.
Addressing the students, Sergei Nikolaevich drew attention to the rights and responsibilities of young people: “It is important that young people understand well the processes that are taking place in the city and in the country and actively take part in them. This is especially relevant during the election campaign.” The mayor called on the meeting participants not to remain indifferent to the fate of their country and to confirm this on the Single Voting Day.
In the format of an open dialogue, Sergei Nikolaevich answered questions of interest to the meeting participants regarding completely different topics: planned events in honor of the Brest region’s 80th anniversary, measures to preserve youth infrastructure, opportunities for youth to enjoy their leisure time in the city, personal preferences and hobbies, and much more.
In conclusion, the Rector of BrSTU, Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, expressed his intention to make such meetings regular, because constant communication with city residents will help to more effectively solve the problems that concern them.
