On February 17, Brest State Technical University, led by Rector Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, took part in the opening ceremony of the republic-wide holiday “Brest — the youth capital of the Republic of Belarus — 2024”.
Minister of Education Andrei Ivanovich Ivanets, who participated in the opening ceremony of the project, noted the inexhaustible energy of young people, which is always felt at such events.
The Chairman of the Brest City Executive Committee Sergei Nikolaevich Lobodinsky in a solemn ceremony accepted the challenge symbol of the youth capital in the form of a key. The Head of the city emphasized that only through the work, intelligence, desire and ideas of strong and independent youth we can achieve a strong, prosperous and independent state.
A concert with the participation of creative groups from the city, dialogue platforms and thematic exhibitions awaited the guests of the holiday on this day, which opened a new page in the history of Brest.
During these intense three days, guests were shown the regional center, its infrastructure and made presentations of the region’s capabilities. The program included interactive platforms, exhibitions, and excursions.
BrSTU creative teams with colorful performances took part in cultural events dedicated to the special event and became part of the colorful atmosphere.
From this moment on, Brest becomes the main platform for the implementation of creative initiatives and significant projects of young people from all regions of the country.
