Solemn university assembly dedicated to the Day of Knowledge «Vivat freshman!»

On September 1, on the main square of the Brest State Technical University, a solemn university assembly “Vivat, freshman!” dedicated to the Knowledge Day was held.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, State Councillor of the Customs Service 3rd Rank Eduard Grigoryevich Danilovich, Head of the Brest Customs, Councillor of the Customs Service 1st Rank Sergei Nikolayevich Yakuta, Priest of the Holy Resurrection Cathedral Father Leonid, the representatives of the Rector’s office, the Deans, the representatives of the academic teaching staff, primary organizations and employees of the university.
The Rector of BrSTU Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich emphasized in his speech that almost every student who chose our university predetermined his future not only for his student years, but for his entire life — personal and professional.
In addition to active involvement in the educational, scientific, cultural, social and sports life of the university, Sergey Antonovich wished the first-year students: “Over the rapidly flying student years, learn to comprehend new knowledge, communicate constructively with mentors and teachers, overcome difficulties, learn the truth and develop yourself. And also make the most efficient use of the time and opportunities that will open up for students at our university, success and harmonious development in all directions.”
BrSTU graduates left a capsule with a message for freshmen, in which they congratulated yesterday’s applicants on entering one of the best technical universities in the country, wished to proudly carry the status of a BrSTU student throughout the entire period of study and contribute to the development of not only our university, but also to the development of our country. The honorary right to receive this capsule was given to the first-year student of the Faculty of Economics Yelisey Bazylyuk.
The chairman of the primary trade union organization of students, Tatyana Vasilievna Strelkova, presented certificates and gifts to first-year students who got the highest score when entering BrSTU.
Performances of student pop groups added a festive atmosphere to the event.
