On October 7, 2023, Brest State Technical University opened its doors to applicants, organizing for them interactive platforms, tours of educational laboratories, master classes, competitions, and quizzes. The guests were greeted by Deans, Heads of Departments, teachers and students of faculties, talking about specialties, features of training and subsequent employment, answering questions that arose during the conversation.
At the press conference held in the assembly hall of the university, the Rector of the university Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, the executive secretary of the admissions committee Andrei Nikolaevich Parfievich, the Deputy Head of the Military Department, Lieutenant Colonel Nikutin N.V. spoke to those present.
“BrSTU of today is an organic university that has all the capabilities to train highly qualified specialists in the field of construction, mechanical engineering, engineering systems and ecology, IT technologies and economics. And we are unique today in the synthesis of our areas, specialties and practice-oriented training,” stated Sergei Antonovich. — Simply studying in classrooms without interacting with the outside world is not our strategy. After working with applicants and students, our priority is working with personnel customers. And this is our strength.”
A lot of useful information was presented: about the rules for entering the university; about opportunities for the development of students in various areas — science, sports, creativity; about training at the Military Department; about partner companies. Applicants had the greatest number of questions regarding targeted training and other special admission trajectories, and they received detailed, comprehensive answers.
