About heroism, about glory, about love…

On February 23, a festive concert dedicated to the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus took place in the assembly hall of the Brest State Technical University.
The Rector of BrSTU, Sergei Antonovich Kasperovich, addressed words of congratulations and gratitude to the participants of the event, among whom were defenders of borders and those who still have to protect the peace and security of their land. Sergei Antonovich noted that this holiday is a symbol of unity and devotion of all generations, a day for everyone who, through their work, makes a worthy contribution to strengthening the defense capability and security of our country.
“I wish for all of us that in educating young people we will steadfastly and confidently continue to develop in our young people the qualities they need: determination, a sense of duty and justice, fortitude and the will to win. Together we move forward into our future!”, the Rector of BrSTU concluded his congratulations.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the Main Information and Computing Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant Colonel Yurkevich Denis Tarasovich, who presented the diploma of the Main Information and Computing Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus to the Rector of BrSTU Kasperovich S.A. for active participation in military-patriotic education. For active and fruitful work on the patriotic education of youth, assistance in training highly qualified specialists in the field of information technology, diplomas from the military commissariat of the Brest region were awarded to the Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Information Systems, Parfievich Andrei Nikolaevich, and the senior teacher of the Department of Intelligent Information Technologies, Mikhnyaev Andrei Leonidovich.
In a solemn atmosphere, awards were also given to teachers of the Military Department who distinguished themselves by fruitful and conscientious work, high-quality performance of official duties and active participation in the training of highly qualified officers.
For diligence and distinction in service, achievements in career, Sergei Antonovich awarded university diplomas to Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Nikolaevich Melnik, Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Anatolyevich Kuzenko, and Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Sergeevich Petukhov. Major Kallaur Igor Valentinovich and Lieutenant Colonel Lopato Dmitry Nikolaevich were officially thanked by the Rector of the university.
Anniversary medals in honor of the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan were awarded to BrSTU employees Vasily Stepanovich Karpuk, Vasily Nikolaevich Skripai, Sergei Aleksandrovich Verenich, Andrey Aleksandrovich Kobzar, Evgeniy Valentinovich Fadeev. Traditionally, on this day, the best students of the military department of BrSTU were also awarded with diplomas from the Rector.
Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya congratulated all those present on the holiday of courage, nobility and honor, fortitude and dedication.
Unforgettable and touching emotions from the creative performances were presented to the event participants by the soloists of the orchestra of the 38th Brest Separate Guards’ Air Assault Vienna Red Banner Brigade and the creative teams of BrSTU.
